As I write this, it is the eve of my 24th birthday. And I’m excited. Even though all the bars and restaurants are closed and I can’t see my friends due to the coronavirus, I still feel that warm excitement in my stomach as I think about my plans for tomorrow: Skyping with friends, baking a German chocolate cake, and cracking open a bottle of wine.
